Wayfinding is the merging of information with visuals in a concise, clear and effective way to help facilitate the movement of people within a built environment.
A good wayfinding system should address three main points; where we are, where do we want to go, and how do we get there. To do this a wide a wide variety of tools can be utilized including print, signage and new media. (One important point to note is that, contrary to popular belief, wayfinding is not signage, but rather a larger term which encompasses it.)
The ‘language’ of wayfinding is specific to a site and it’s users and we recognize that. That’s where we come in. Our job is to take into account all of the complex and important information about your environment, analyze this data and then translate it into a simple but visually effective system with emphasis on aesthetics, application and ease-of-use.
